InfoSec - Be Cautious Of Phishing Messages

Please be cautious of receiving any potential phishing messages.

 

What is Phishing?

Phishing is the practice of sending fraudulent communications that appears to come from legitimate and reputable source, usually through email and text messaging. The goal is to gain access to sensitive accounts, logins or install malware.

 

This is an example some Users have reported recently:

 

If you do receive one of these text messages or emails, here’s what to do:

1) Never click on any links or respond.
2) Take a screenshot of the message on your phone.
3) Delete the message, and if given the option “report junk”.
4) Reach out to InfoSec in slack or email. This is just for their awareness.
